Book Serena Brotherton for the ride in a ladies race and you have a head start on the opposition, so Alan was delighted to be able to snap up the experienced amateur for the ride on Cosmeapolitan in tomorrow’s finale at Newbury.
Alan said:”Cosmeapolitan has enjoyed a good summer, and he ran a smashing race at Glorious Goodwood, belying his odds (25-1) to finish fourth, having been hampered in some early scrimmaging. He now takes on the older horses, but Serena is a big plus and, hopefully, he’ll be in the money again.
“We also have a couple of runners at Doncaster. Devoran is the latest of our two-year-olds to be launched. She is a filly by Harbour Watch, who is an exciting first-season stallion and one who proved very popular at the sales, so it will be good to get this one rolling in the mile maiden.
“We also have Jim Dandy going for the 10-furlong handicap up there, He ran well to finish fourth at Newbury last time and should again be competitive in what looks a tight little handicap.”
