With only a few days left to go until Cheltenham opens its gates once again the mood in the yard is a very excited one. The team the boss has assembled looks to be strong and with a bit of luck we will get to make that amazing walk up into the winners enclosure. The team’s preparation has gone really well and I speak on behalf off all the staff when I say that Tuesday can’t come soon enough. We do still need a bit of luck regarding one or two runners taking there chance in the handicaps but this matter is out of our hands so only time will tell.
Amidst all the build up to Cheltenham we have recently introduced some lovely young horses to the racetrack, Azzerti made his debut in what looked to be a solid bumper at Kempton at the end of February and despite showing plenty of greenness throughout the race he ran a very promising 4th beaten just over 6 lengths by Voix Du Nord. He will improve for a summer at grass and is very much one we are looking forward to with for next season.
Midnight Maestro, a full brother to our Supreme Novice Hurdle hope William H Bonney made a very pleasing debut at Doncaster, and although he won in good fashion he too showed plenty of immaturity up the home straight and will only improve for this experience, he is a good solid model, by the ultra consistent Midnight Legend and like many of our recent bumper runners he is one we look forward to sending over an obstacle.
I shall look forward to writing an update in just over a weeks time !!!!!
