Weather forecasters can be as wrong as racing tipsters, so, hopefully the men at the Met are wide of the mark in predicting frost and snow for Huntingdon tomorrow, where the track, perfectly raceable at present, have called an early morning inspection.
Alan has declared Master Blueyes for the Chatteris Fen Hurdle at Huntingdon, a race we won with Sceau Royal 12 months ago, and, assessing his chance, the boss said:”Master Blueyes bumped into a good one in Charlie Parc at Kempton over Christmas (the winner is one of the market-leaders for the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham in March), but he did everything right and beat the rest easily enough.
” Let’s hope the meeting goes ahead as we also have Peggie’s Venture, already a dual bumper winner, going over jumps for the first time in the closing mares maiden hurdle. This longer trip should play to her strengths.”
