Although we have the vast majority of the National Hunt string back in full work, we are still very busy with our Flat runners. We have already introduced a good number of our two-year-olds to the racecourse and so far their performances and results have been pleasing.
Giveaway Glance acquitted herself well to the soft Lingfield going and with Invocation making a lovely introduction at Chelmsford, the 2-year-olds seem to be in good form and running well.
Many of the jumpers have now started to do three canters up the Sharpridge Hill on their work mornings (Wednesdays and Saturdays) The string seem to be in good order and although it is still early days the work has been pleasing. There are a few horses that are still on trotting exercise which were a little later coming back in from the field and others who are recovering from injury. There work load will increase in the coming weeks.
Schooling mornings have now become much busier varying between schooling in the outdoor school or on the main schooling ground. It certainly feels that the new season is back in full swing. It will be a busy few months ahead for me and the jockeys responsible for putting them thought their paces.
