Today is the first official day of autumn and this morning was yet another busy one in the build up to jump season getting underway. It’s always an exciting time of the year when there are high hopes for the coming season. The NH string are in good fettle, the majority dong three canters up the Sharpridge all-weather gallop this morning and are shaping up well.

After Paddys Runner’s victory at Plumpton it was Gone Too Far’s turn to earn the spot in the winners’ enclosure at Warwick yesterday. Despite a minor scare early on he jumped and travelled well throughout the race and was good see his Newton Abbot experience put behind him.

Prettyasapicture was our last runner of the day and after an encouraging run back from a break at Worcester she sadly failed to complete, pulling up two out. She can hopefully put this behind her and bounce back to form next time out.
