When a course puts up good prize money they deserve to be well supported, so Alan takes a four-horse raid up the M6 tomorrow for Finals day at Haydock, where there are six £60,000 purses on offer.

Alan said:”We have a couple in the two-mile handicap hurdle. Midnight Maestro is progressing well and won in good style at Stratford just before Cheltenham, so even off a 7lb higher mark I would hope that he could again be competitive. We also run Paddy’s Runner for the Let’s Live Racing team. He has been dropped 3lb since finishing second at Taunton and this is a rare chance for him to race for such good money.

Willoughby Hedge was in two races up there but he goes for the three-mile handicap chase. He won well at Sandown but never ran his race next time, seemingly not to enjoy the visor, but he deserves another chance before he heads for the sales.

“Finally, Awesome Rosie goes for the mares race. She has been consistent this season and has picked up place money in her last two starts, and off 120 I would hope she’ll again be in the mix.”
