The ground at Towcester tomorrow will be as heavy as most of the Barbury heads were on Sunday morning following an unbelievable Saturday five-timer, but if either of our two runners there emerge triumphant the little fish will taste just as sweet.

Alan said:”Informationisking made an encouraging debut at Warwick and looks an exciting horse for next season, but his education continues in the bumper and he is a big, galloping type who should be suited by this track.

“We also have Lady Persephone in the mares novice hurdle. She has been in good form at home, though I hope that the rain does not return until after racing as she would not want it too testing.

“There are no such ground worries about Precision Five in the staying handicap on the polytrack at Chelmsford. We tried to make the running with her last time and it did not work, so Josephine Gordon, one of the apprentice finds of the winter, will have to ride a waiting race. The problem is Precision Five has no leeway in the handicap, but her 5lb claim will help.”
