After an already pleasing week results wise, Jim Dandy continued the trend by winning the one mile maiden at Salisbury on Friday evening. Although he had certainly not disgraced himself on his first outing breaking slowly from the stalls, we were pleasantly surprised how much he had improved from his first run in a relatively short amount of time.

To see him break well, be handy with the leaders and stay on strongly at the end of his race was particularly encouraging. Their should still be a lot of development left mentally and physically.

Forgiving Glance ran a lovely race on Sunday at Bath, finishing second, beaten only half a length. She enjoyed another step up in trip and the dry conditions. She is proving to be a model of consistency.

The tragic loss of Brown Panther is a real blow to racing and our thoughts are with Tom Dascombe and his owner Michael Owen.
