Doug Smith trained a winner the last time I went to Catterick, and, similarly, Alan will be breaking new ground when he sends Pemba off to the North Yorkshire track for the opening fillies juvenile hurdle there tomorrow.

Alan said: “This will be my first runner at Catterick, but there are not many juvenile hurdles restricted to fillies only, so we thought it worth making the trip.
“She seemed to enjoy the Yorkshire air last time, winning by 82 lengths at Doncaster, and, though they are completely different types of courses, Pemba is a straight-forward filly, so I would not think it would be any problem.

“Pemba is a filly we have always liked – she is lightly-raced and will have learned again from Doncaster, so, hopefully, the long journey will prove worthwhile.”
