Now the dust has settled from the excitement of the weekend, it was all hands on deck this week. Nathan Horrocks and his team at Equine Productions visited the yard Wednesday morning to film the string and to make a video feature that will be going up on the website soon.

The horses continue to be working well on the all-weather gallop and we have schooled plenty this week.  The boss is delighted with preparations so far and everything is ticking along nicely.  Some much needed rain would be helpful especially from a schooling point of view.

Duke of Sonning continued the McNeill’s family good run of results by winning at the first time of asking over hurdles at Uttoxeter on Thursday, travelling and jumping well and although he only won by a neck, it was a very pleasing performance. The forever consistent Forgiving Glance put up another solid performance last night at Chelmsford finishing second beaten only 5 lengths, she can hopefully go one better soon.

A busy weekend awaits with five runners over the two days so we will hopefully have another reason to celebrate and plenty more to discuss next week !
