We have just the two runners tomorrow, Board of Trade and Clondaw Fonz both being aimed at the maiden hurdle, and, assessing their prospects, Alan said:”Board of Trade is a smashing horse who has been running well, but he could never handle the deep ground at Taunton in December, and it was only his class which kept him in the race. He has solid form and I’d love to get his head in front – it would be a great confidence-booster.

“Clondaw Fonz is an Irish point-to-point winner, and, though he is not the quickest, he looks a decent staying type. He will certainly stay further in time, but this two and a half miles is a good starting point.”
