Thursday April 6

With Yanworth not confirmed for either of his two entries at Aintree tomorrow, our only runner will be Zipple Back in the Weatherbys Champion Bumper, and, while he is taking a jump in class, having had just the one run at Huntingdon, Alan is hoping for a bold effort.

He said:”This has been Zipple Back’s target for some time, and he is a horse that we have always liked. He showed plenty of promise when finishing third on his debut at Huntingdon, and the winner (Bags Groove) was only beaten a nose in the big sales bumper at Newbury last month. We were also going to take Zipple Back to Newbury, but he was not quite right so we kept him back for this. Win or lose, he is an exciting horse for the future.”
